Platform Controller
The TS Series Controller provides touch-screen operation and real-time graphing, plus two types of control - system and DUT control. The unique DUT Control mode provides a faster method to get your device to temperature. CE approved, the controller logs and displays diagnostics such as valve counts, ambient temp, and equipment runtimes. Multiple communications protocols are included. It also has an option for an independent fail safe to protect the DUT from thermal damage.
Cryogenic Hoses
Coolant delivery hoses are used to connect your temperature chamber or thermal platform to your coolant source, be it a bulk system, a Dewar, or a high pressure cylinder. Sigma offers Vacuum jacketed and Armored hoses for LN2, as well as hoses for LC02. Getting the right hose, with the right fittings, in the right size, with the right insulation, with the proper safety facilities, is essential for a successful and safe operation. Sigma hoses come with the correct fittings for both the coolant source and the temperature chamber or platform. LN2 hoses include a Safety Pressure Relief Valve.
Covers for Thermal Platforms
Platform covers provide protection for workers and your DUT. Enclosures also help provide a more homogeneous test environment by reducing the influences of the ambient temperature. If used with a Nitrogen gas purge, covers will also help reduce condensation and frost on the DUT and plate surface. Maximum continuous temperature for clear covers is 130°C. However, it can be used for higher temperatures for short duration tests because the cover does not rest on the platform working surface. Custom configurations are available.
Cryogenic Hoses and Dewar Accessories
Vacuum jacketed and armored hoses for LN2 and LC02 connect your temperature chamber or thermal platform to your coolant source - bulk system, Dewar, or high pressure cylinder. Obtaining the right hose, fittings, size, and insulation, with the proper safety facilities, is essential for a successful and safe operation. Hoses come with the correct fittings for both the coolant source and the temperature chamber or platform. LN2 hoses include a Safety Pressure Relief Valve.
Hold Down Clamp Set
The Hold Down Clamp Set enables you to hold items firmly to the platform, or to hold things to your DUT, like a temperature probe.
Gas Purge Systems
Purge Gas systems are often used to reduce moisture or oxygen content in thermal platform covers. Reducing moisture allows operation at low temperatures without dew or frost accumulations. Reducing oxygen levels can substantially reduce oxidation at elevated temperatures. Nitrogen gas is the typical purge gas. However, argon, carbon dioxide, or CDA (compressed dry air) may be used as well. This purge system provides the mechanism to deliver the purge gas to the thermal workspace at regulated pressure and adjustable flow rates.
Exhaust Options
Two options for Thermal Platform exhaust include the Standard Exhaust and the Very Quiet Muffler. Either can be used to vent exhaust away from the work area, with the Very Quiet Muffler greatly reducing the noise associated with the expanding coolant.
Threaded Holes and Adapter Plates
Threaded Holes with Stainless Steel Inserts are the most common and popular option for Sigma thermal plates. Available in American standard NC (coarse thread) or NF (fine thread) or metric sizes, pre-installed threaded inserts. Adapter/Fixturing plates are a 1/4", or thicker.
A typical aluminum plate os 0001-T6 anodized but other materials and finishes are also available. The metal plate is affixed to the surface of a platform, allow for easy variability in hole patterns. Thread patterns can be customized.
Temperature Probes
Thermal plates can be equipped with additional temperature probes (thermocouples or RTDs). A second temperature probe permits monitoring of specific chamber or platform locations. It also provides faster throughput when monitoring DUT (Device Under Test) temperature.

Valves, Cryogenic Filters, & Conversions
Options to keep your equipment running in peak condition include replacement valves, filters for the coolant line, and conversions to/from LN2 <-> LCO2.
